From the sea song "Lord Darryn's Lads," author unknown:
Well, the year I found myself first mate
'Twus the spring of 2668
Left my home and lover dear
We had a letter from Aedyr givin' plunderin' rights
Dyrwood ships were up for a fight
Godsdamn them once and damn them twice
Lord Darryn promised gold and glittering prizes
We set sail headin' Dyrwood-bound
Two weeks at sea and a rebel we found
We were brave young fools and surely mad
We couldn't be stopped we were Darryn's Lads
Lord Darryn called for ramming speed
Draw your blades said he, let's make 'em bleed
I miss my home and lover dear
We closed and crashed and leapt aboard
Bled them more than they could afford
Godsdamn them once and damn them twice
Lord Darryn promised gold and glittering prizes
Lord Darryn with his voulge fought true
Wrought thunder and sparks and led us through
We were brave young fools and surely mad
We couldn't be stopped we were Darryn's Lads
