Paki Takiri

Huana for 'big person,' the paki takiri is a role within Huana tribes for the purpose of resolving civil disputes. Rather than taking on the duties of leadership as a Chieftain would, the paki takiri offers wisdom and guidance to the tribe, acting as an adviser and negotiator as needed.
