Haemnegs are ceremonial marriages between humans and elves in the Aedyran Empire. They are most commonly formed to consolidate wealth, concentrate power, or forge alliances, though some are the product of romantic love or desire.

The most prominent haemneg is the traditional union between the human fercönyng and the elven mecwyn.
