Great Stelgaer

Though most plentiful in Eir Glanfath, the stelgaer adapt well to many environments, and the jungles of the Deadfire Archipelago are no exception. Capable of patience, aggression, and the cunning to know when to use either, the stelgaer is far deadlier than the panthers and ocelots to which it is related.

The great stelgaer of Kazuwari are one of the largest known breeds of stelgaer. The animal carnage required to feed this predator means very few islands offer the sustenance for more than a pack or two of these rapacious hunters, but the verdant jungles of Kazuwari provide enough game for these beasts to thrive. Despite having the strength and stamina for a drawn-out tussle with nearly any beast, the great stelgaer is an ambush hunter that prefers to blend into its surroundings and strike with little warning.
