Iridescent Scale

The master alchemist Donado Vinzzeti created this suit of gleaming scale armor not as a tool for battle, but as an expression of his craft. Untrained in the arcane art of enchantment, Vinzzeti sought to create a perfect elemental defense using only alchemical techniques. He labored over every scale, every stitch, and every rivet, distilling protective elemental essence into every component. The project consumed his every waking hour for nearly a year. The results - while more than satisfactory - never seemed to please the alchemist. His masterpiece was functional but far from perfect. He grew discouraged and eventually discarded the armor, declaring it to be the culmination of his failure at his craft.
